Banshu Kenma(Banshu Polishing) was established in 1962 (Showa 37).
For more than 60 years, we have been engaged primarily in buff polishing work.
In recent years, we have also begun creating original metal and wooden goods that make use of our polishing techniques.
(1) Buff Polishing
Buff polishing is a finishing method in which a soft tool called a buff—made of cloth, felt, or similar materials—is attached to a buffing machine, coated with polishing compound, and used to produce a glossy finish or fine surface refinement. It is the core polishing process at our workshop.
Products we work with include:
Kitchen equipment (sinks, worktables), Motorcycle and automobile parts (mufflers, wheels, bumpers)
Architectural hardware (handrails, doorknobs, decorative panels), Household items (metal cutlery, pots, kettles)
Medical equipment (stainless-steel components, specialty metals for medical use),
Watch and accessory cases and parts, and more

(2) Hairline Finish
Hairline finishing is a surface treatment that produces fine, linear polishing marks running in a consistent direction on metal surfaces. This method is widely used across many industries because it gives the material an elegant and refined appearance.
Products we work with include:
Architectural and interior components (handles, hinges, frames),
Home appliances (front panels of refrigerators and microwave ovens, audio equipment panels),
Computer enclosures (aluminum housings), Commercial kitchen equipment (doors, hoods, sinks, dish cabinets, tables),
Industrial and facility-related items
(outer panels of control cabinets, stainless inspection doors in factories, exterior panels) and more

(3) Forming & Polishing Finish
Forming and polishing refers to a process in which the shape of a product is refined (forming) while its surface is smoothed and finished (polishing) at the same time.
Products we work with include:
Stainless-steel components for kitchen equipment (corner processing, surface smoothing),
Vehicle parts (brackets, panels, frames), Architectural hardware (handrail end processing, decorative fittings),
Machine components (jigs, covers, sheet-metal parts), Motorcycle parts (stays, brackets, pipe ends),
Exterior panels for home appliances, Housings for precision equipment (aluminum / stainless steel) and more

(4) Planning and Production of Original Metal and Wooden Goods
We are also applying the polishing techniques we have cultivated over the years to the planning and production of original metal and wooden goods.
